Happy Friday Everyone!
Today's blog features glasshouses, two of them. It could be said that we have had a bit of trouble putting our greenhouses together. You know that you are going to have a bit of trouble when the instructions don't make sense in any language! But thanks to patience, humour and determination, our volunteers and veterans are figuring it out together. It does help when we put the door frames on the right way round! They say that laughter is the best medicine and we have had a really good laugh this week.
We had a donation of baseball caps to protect us all from the sun, which was awesome. Thank you so much. Dundee really is living up to her reputation for being the sunniest City in Scotland. This week's pictures feature George and 3Para.
On a serious note, 20% of veterans are returning with serious mental health issues and as many as 1 in 20 emergency services workers attempt suicide, our modest garden provides a safe environment where they can develop positive coping strategies. If anyone has any suggestions for our garden, please get in touch and we will feature your idea on our Facebook page. We might run a competition for the best ones. You could win some Calendula! We might have one or two too many.
